Hillsboro Street businesses that opened Sunday, July 4th took advantage of the visitors to the PBA Summer Fest event in Pittsboro on Salisbury and Hanks Streets.
Music from the Dowdy Boys (a set of 9 songs!) and 8-Track Minds (30! songs) was wonderful and got a lot of the attendees up, out of their chairs, and dancing!
For the kids, there was a water slide, dunking booth, corn hole, other games and balloon animals! There were a total of 26 vendor booths, including 10 food/drink/treats vendors. I spoke with a half dozen vendors at the end of the event and they were very pleased with the turn out and this opportunity to connect with the visitors and turn them into customers.
The blueberry fruit pie was the pie contest winner!
