Intermediate Mead Making Class at Starrlight Mead

$75.00In this intermediate class, we’ll talk about various additives and when to use or not use them. You will learn about various methods to oak meads and the difference between French and American oak and sample meads aged with chips from each of these different types. You will learn about different acids and when acid additions may be necessary. Class includes mead tasting with various oak, tannin, and additives.
$50 single, $75 two people
Class takes place on Nov 02 from 10 am – 1 pm at the meadery in Pittsboro. All class participants MUST be over 21! No exceptions. Must sign up by Oct 30.
IMPORTANT: This is an intermediate class and attendees must have a basic understanding of home mead making processes, equipment, and terms and have made a few home mead batches. Although we love Joe’s Ancient Orange, it does NOT qualify as mead making experience!
