Jane S. Gabin received her PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As senior assistant director of admissions at UNC, her duties included directing counselor relations and international admissions. She then moved to New York City, where she worked as a college advisor at private secondary schools, chiefly at the United Nations International School. Currently she runs her own educational advisory service in Chapel Hill, NC.
