Meet Rednap Howell (re-enactment)

Rednap Howell was one of the key leaders of the War of Regulation in North Carolina from 1765 to 1771. A musician as well as school master, Howell earned the title Poet of the War of Regulation by writing songs which spread the news of the corruption of the local officials and kept the flames of the Regulation Movement growing. Hear first-hand Rednap’s recount of the War of Regulation in North Carolina at this reenactment.
