Tree Lighting Celebration
Sunday, November 20, 4-6 p.m.
An old-fashioned Christmas celebration featuring school choirs, carolers, Santa Claus, shopping, and more. Festivities culminate with the lighting of a 18-foot Christmas tree at the historic Chatham County Courthouse. Businesses are hosting special events all day. Santa visitation starts at 3:30! Don’t forget to bring your camera/camera phones.
Small Business Saturday
Saturday, November 26, all day
Come shop small and support locally-owned and grown businesses! Special events happening throughout town. Free gift wrapping for items purchased in Downtown Pittsboro – 10:00am – 4:00pm at Realty World, 73 Hillsboro Street.
First Sunday Artisan Fair
Sunday, December 4, 12-5 p.m.
An artisan market featuring crafts, music, and food. Shops, restaurants and the Historical Museum host special events.
Pittsboro Christmas Parade
Sunday, December 11, 3 p.m.
Marching bands, dancers, holiday revelers, and Santa Claus parade through downtown in this annual tradition. Brought to you by the Town of Pittsboro.
Miracle on Hillsboro Street
Saturday, December 17, 2 p.m. & 6 p.m.
See the trial of the century on Saturday, December 17th at the historic Chatham County Courthouse, where Santa Claus is on trial. Enjoy audience participation, local actors and the real Kris Kringle! Come root for a Miracle on Hillsboro Street!
Performances will be at 2pm & 6pm.
Admission is a $5 donation to benefit Chatham County Partnership for Children, or give five non-perishable food items to benefit CORA Food Pantry. Children under 6 are free.
Seating is limited, so advanced ticket purchase is encouraged. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the following locations:

Have your children write their very own letter to Santa telling him what they love about Santa Claus. Your child’s letter might even be picked to be read at a showing! Drop them off at our Mailbox to Santa by December 15th at any of the locations below:
