Tiger Day Fun Run Registration

Join Carolina Tiger Rescue in its 2nd Annual Tiger Day 5K fun run, with all proceeds benefiting the amazing animals who call the sanctuary home! Register yourself or your team, then walk, run, or ride a 5K, by yourself or with friends, anytime between July 22nd and July 29th. We’ll wrap up with a virtual celebration on July 29th for International Tiger Day! Your $35 registration fee benefits all of the cats at the sanctuary AND includes a Tiger Day 5K commemorative t-shirt!

Let’s Go Local Burger Challenge!

Exactly how local can your NC burger get? Chatham Marketplace is partnering with Firsthand Foods for the Let’s Go Local Burger Challenge - and it has started! You have until July 3rd to build your local burger, and on the Fourth of July two people will win $150 in local prizes! Here’s how to enter: ? Build your local burger at home using ALL North Carolina ingredients, starting with a base of Firsthand Foods ground beef. ? Grab your local ingredients right here at Chatham Marketplace. ? Post a picture of your local burger (or of you eating it!). In your post, be sure to: Use the #LetsGoLocalBurger hashtag Tag @firsthandfoods + @chathammarketplace For a better chance of winning, tag all the local producers who made the ingredients on your burger! ? TWO winners will be picked on July 4th and EACH winner will receive $150 in gift cards to participating markets! Chatham 250: Agricultural Photo Contest

Agriculture Event: Agricultural Photo Contest Submissions due August 1, 2021 Winners announced in September 2021 Sponsored by Chatham County Farm Bureau Chathamites are invited to get out their cameras and set their sights on Agriculture. The Chatham 250 Agriculture Photo Contest is the perfect opportunity to learn about the amazing farms and farm history in Chatham County. Contestants will upload one photo of their choosing and give insight into why they chose this photo in 200 words or less. Coordinating this contest is Kaley Lawing, Community Resource Development/4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with N. C. Cooperative Extension - Chatham County Center. "The Chatham 250 Agriculture Photo Contest gives both youth and adults the opportunity to share their photographs of Chatham County Agriculture with everyone,” said Lawing. “Contest participants will upload their photo submission by going to the Chatham 250 event web page. Contest rules, submission form, and updates can be found there as well and will be available in the upcoming months. Submissions are due by August 1st, and winners will be announced in September."
