The Checkered Tulip Sewing Studio is offering two zipper workshops this summer, Thursday July 18th 6-8:30 and Saturday August 3rd 10-12:30. Zippers are fun!!!! Come fine tune your skills or add new tools to your sewing arsenal.

The first Saturday of August is International Mead Day celebrated by mead makers and meaderies around the world! And we’re celebrating too! For the occasion, we’ve got some fun things in store for you! Mead making demo at 3 pm. Join Ben to see how to make a small batch of mead at home. (And consider signing up for our Beginning Mead Making Class!) Tours of the meadery at 2 and 4 pm. See how it’s done on a bigger scale. And sample some local NC meads from HoneyGirl Meadery in Durham. Their new location isn’t quite ready, so they are popping up here to help celebrate!
