It's almost time for Pittsboro First Sunday again, so please come to Show of Hands Gallery on September 1, between noon and 4 pm. From 1 - 3 pm, we will have a Featured Artist Reception as we display the exuberant works of painter Ruth Parks. Her Journey of Colors & Dreams will hang in the Gallery along with a display of the colorful and expertly made hand-built pottery of Anna Julian. We will welcome you along with Michael Novak's live music and an assortment of refreshments.

Friday Night Concerts + Movies Each Friday night (except July) we’ll feature a live concert or movie on the Phil H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons (event lawn). Food + beverage available for purchase. Nighttime sonic ceremony is back by popular demand! Join us the third Friday of each month for a candle-lit evening sound bath featuring a variety of singing bowls, chimes and percussion accompanying the human voice. She received the Yankee Quill Award and Mary Garber Pioneer Award and was a Nieman Fellow and a Prudential Fellow at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. William A. (“Sandy”) Darity Jr. is the Samuel DuBois Cook Professor of Public Policy, African and African American Studies, and Economics and the director of the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University. He has served as chair of the Department of African and African American Studies and was the founding director of the Research Network on Racial and Ethnic Inequality at Duke.
