We're extending the celebration of Independence Day into the weekend with our "famous" Red, White, and Blueberry Sangria! You can come in for a glass or make some at home! We'll be using our Semi-sweet Traditional Mead with apples, strawberries, and blueberries! Delish! We’ll also have slushies and ciders available for extra fun!

Come rain or shine, we’ll be open on July 7th for First Sunday in downtown Pittsboro. Please stop at Show of Hands Gallery while we’re open from noon to 4. And join us for our Featured Artists reception between 1-3 to enjoy live music and refreshments…while we show off the soft, lovely pastel work of Daphne Boder as well as the wonderful pottery of Joseph Sand.

Join us in downtown Pittsboro for the Summertime Seafood Festival, hosted by The Sycamore. Celebrate summer and seafood with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and live music by The Castaways. The event will be held on the back lawn, and inside of Forest Hall at Chatham Mills. Get your advance tickets for $10 or purchase at the door for $15 (if not sold out). We will have a variety of chef-prepared, mouthwatering seafood (and non-seafood) options available for purchase, including Maine-style Lobster Rolls, Oysters on the half shell, Crabcake Sandwiches, Chilled Lobster Salad, Lemonade Shrimp and Carolina Style BBQ Spare Ribs. Sides like Plantain Chips with Pico, Grilled Shishito Peppers, Hushpuppies, and Corn on the Cob will round out your meal. Quench your thirst with beer, wine, and summery cocktails -like mojitos and watermelon margaritas- from the cash bar. Children under 12 enter for free, but please leave your furry friends at home. Doors open at 2pm, with music by The Castaways starting at 3pm. Lawn games and activities will be available for added enjoyment. Finally Fridays in Pittsboro at the Pittsboro Gallery of Arts Artist-Member, Jody Nash, will be demonstrating the art of coiling pine needles for baskets. She will be teaching a 2-class workshop in this style at the gallery in August.
