We're throwing a midnight release party for Onyx Storm -- the third book in the bestselling Fourth Wing series! Festivities will begin at 10pm on Monday, January 20, 2025, and books will be distributed at midnight. Your $45.00 ticket includes admission for one to the party and a hardcover copy of Onyx Storm—featuring gorgeous sprayed edges with stenciled artwork and exclusive special design features, while supplies last.* There will be snacks, drinks, fun, games, swag and more! *If supplies run out for these special edition sprayed-edge copies, the special editions will be distributed according to when tickets were purchased. Later ticket purchases would include regular hardcover editions of Onyx Storm, as well as the fun goodies at the party. The Pittsboro Business Association invites you to Downtown Pittsboro for a fun-filled tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, November 24, starting at 3:00 pm. Santa will be there and we will have lots of things going on for all ages. Food trucks, an assortment of entertainment on the main stage, train ride, a bouncy house and a vendor market this year! Come have a great time gathering with your community. We can't wait to see you there! Kids activities and visits to Santa begin in the Welcome Center at 3 and end at 5:30. Performances begin at the stage at 4pm. The tree ceremony will take place at dusk, APPROXIMATELY 5:45pm. The tree lighting is just the start of an event-filled holiday season! Twice a year we fire over 1000+ pots in our massive wood kiln, or our gas kiln, and invite everyone to visit the pottery for a Kiln Opening! It’s a great chance to tour the pottery workshop, walk inside the massive kilns, and shop in our large barn/gallery/showroom for beautiful pottery for yourself or for the perfect gift. The shelves are full of beautiful mugs, tumblers, plates and bowls, elegant vases, pitchers, lidded jars, serving bowls, large platters and planters ~ all made by master potter, Mark Hewitt, and his current intern. All the pots are stamped with the firing number. This will be Firing ‘112’ so the pots will be stamped 112 and the stamp of the potter who made them. Most of the pots have been made by master potter, Mark Hewitt with a very small selection made by visiting potters. Mark’s selection of ‘Big Pots’ – life-sized vases and jars – are also on display.
