Yoga Flow + Sound Healing with Lisa

Yoga Garden 184 East Street, Pittsboro , NC, United States

This class will begin with 15 minutes of sun salutations to open the body and prepare for a restorative savasana during which Lisa will guide you through a group meditation and sound healing using tuning forks. We all have an electromagnetic field around our bodies which often becomes blocked by old emotions that are stored with the memories of our past experiences. This sound healing modality uses the pure tone of tuning forks to clear the area around the body, allowing the receiver to release old thought patterns and emotions that are not serving them anymore. Receivers of this healing modality often report feeling lighter and more open to receiving love, support, and guidance from those around them, and more connected to the unified field of consciousness that we are all a part of. This is a "Funky Friday" class and is by donation; or use your class pass or membership.

Yoga Props Workshop

Yoga Garden 184 East Street, Pittsboro , NC, United States

Jessica Palmer-Gwaltney leads us in a gentle yoga sequence highlighting how props can enhance any type of yoga practice. Do you get props (blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets) out before yoga classes and not end up using them? Think they’re just for restorative classes or that using props is a sign that you can’t do a pose “right”? Do you often need or want to modify the poses in your classes to suit your body's needs? Experience an all-levels gentle yoga sequence while learning how to use props to deepen your yoga practice with sthira (steadiness, strength) and sukha (ease, well-being). Props have the power to help you find the intent of the pose and make the most of your time on the mat. They can help you move through any class or your home practice more safely and comfortably. $18 in advance; $20 at the door.
