Sound Healing + Gong Bath with Jarek Luk

Yoga Garden 184 East Street, Pittsboro , NC, United States

Join us for a sacred session to understand the power of sound vibration healing. The power of gong and singing bowl vibrations deeply affects our mind, body and soul. It penetrates and stimulates every cell of our being - allowing us to reach a state of deep relaxation. The vibrations help with reducing stress and remove all blockages in the mind. The gong sound fully harmonizes and restores balance in our body as well as increases all regenerative processes. During profound peaceful states of the mind, which are typically achieved during meditative phases, the body’s natural healing process is profoundly supported. $25 in advance, $30 at the door. The sound and resulting vibrations generated by the gongs and Himalayan singing bowls stimulate the theta brain frequencies that are commonly associated with deeper states of meditation. Heart and respiratory rates slow down, creating a favorable healing effect upon the body’s entire system. Are you... Tired? Worried? Stressed? GONG IT OUT! Looking for a way to relax & reconnect? Bathe in VIBRATIONS Struggling to remove emotional blockages? Feeling out of balance? SING with Tibetan & Crystal Bowls Time to explore groundbreaking & yet ancient ways to relieve stress & regain balance, leading to personal EMPOWERMENT, TRANSFORMATION & HEALTHY well-being. Join in welcoming facilitator Jarek Luk: Meditation led me to the realization that the club scene had the energy characteristics of very low vibrations. Vibrations, that despite the high visible energy, ultimately were resulting in bringing people down. I then started to ask for guidance on how I could help people increase their vibrations rather than lower them. I wanted to do more. I felt the need to do something that would not only make me feel fulfilled but also help others.

Community Appreciation Night

Downtown Pittsboro 9 Hillsboro St, Pittsboro, NC, United States

The Sheriff's Office will host its 4th Annual Community Appreciation Night on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 5-8PM. The event will be held on the Sheriff's Office lawn at 295 West Street, Pittsboro, and will give residents the opportunity to get to know the Sheriff's Office team in a fun, family-friendly environment. In previous years, the event has attracted an average crowd of 1,500 visitors. Deputies say they expect this number to continue to grow. "This event is about celebrating our community," says Sheriff Mike Roberson. "The people we serve aren’t just ordinary residents, they’re family—and we want visitors to feel welcome at our office." Sheriff Roberson dreamed for years of organizing a Community Appreciation Night for residents after seeing them routinely send food, flowers, and cards thanking deputies and showing their support for law enforcement. He also noted how local churches invited deputies to worship services and prayer vigils, children delivered handmade artwork, and community members regularly stopped by to share their thanks. Sheriff Roberson says these acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by members of his office. One of his first acts as Sheriff was to set his vision of a Community Appreciation Night into motion. "You've shown your support and gratitude. Now it's our turn," says Sheriff Roberson. "We owe everything to our citizens, and this special event is our way of saying thanks to community members for their support." Everyone is invited to join the Sheriff’s Office for a fun-filled night of games, food, and fellowship. All meals, activities, prizes, and services are free while supplies last. For more information, or if you would like to get involved or help sponsor the event, visit the Chatham County Sheriff's Office Facebook page at facebook.com/CCSONC for more details or call Lt. Jessica Norton at 919-545-8127.
