Rabbit Hunt 2024

Pittsboro Gallery of Arts and Welcome Chatham are hosting the 4th Annual Found it! Rabbit Hunt on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The is a fun, free family event that encourages everyone to get outside and explore Pittsboro. Seven embellished rabbit statues will be hidden outside along Hillsboro Street and in the immediate vicinity. Find a rabbit and, without removing it, take a photo. Once you find at least 5 of the rabbits, show your photos to a Welcome Center attendant to receive a ticket for a chance to win a rabbit. The Chatham County Welcome Center is at 37 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro, NC. The first 25 visitors to do so will also receive a $10 voucher to be redeemed at one of the participating downtown businesses. In acknowledgment of Pittsboro’s thriving creative culture, the 7 rabbit statues will be embellished by local artist members of Pittsboro Gallery of Arts: Additional raffle tickets to win the custom rabbit statues will be available for $5 each at the Welcome Center. Proceeds of ticket sales will go to Welcome Chatham, a 501(c)3 non-profit agency.

Join us for our exciting annual event on May 3rd 6 to 9 pm when the NC Black Socks Poetry Society and friends read and share their poetry inspired by our art. Enjoy refreshments while you view new works in multiple 2-D and 3-D mediums: oil, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, pastels, unique prints, photography, furniture and decorative boxes, mosaics, ceramics, polychrome and kintsugi style vessels, basketry, jewelry, fiber arts, sculptural works in clay, wood, stone, steel, and bronze. An evening of Art and Petry Combined into one Pittsboro Gallery is located at 44-A Hillsboro Street, a few steps north of the County Courthouse circle. When you visit you’ll find it’s a destination gallery situated in a historic, bustling small town. Owned and operated by local and regional artists, our mission is to exhibit and offer an opportunity for art lovers and patrons to see, purchase and collect fine art and fine crafts.
