Mead Day is the day set aside by the American Homebrewers Association to make, drink and celebrate everything MEAD!! We think it’s a great excuse for a mini-Renaissance Faire! Dress up and come join us for our biggest event of the year! Our Mead Wenches and Cork Knaves will be pouring a selection of meads for your tasting! Enjoy Thunder & Spice, and Sword Fighting Knights with the Knightly Order of the Fiat Lux!! (tickets) Artist Openings Joyful Jewel: Featured artist reception: Stacy Lewis: Motley Beasts (painting) 1-3 p.m. Ralph Earle book reading 4 - 5 p.m. The Way the Rain Works Liquidambar Gallery: Featured artist reception: Linda Person (clap sculpture). Music by Avis Autry 2-4 p.m. Children's Activities The kids’ play area, sponsored by Pittsboro United Methodist Church, is located in the Pittsboro Roadhouse parking lot.
